Real Wedding | Nicole + Tim // Wakulla Springs Wedding Florist

The best advice I can give to clients when it comes to creating the perfect wedding is...do exactly what Nicole and Tim did!

They stayed true to who they are and in doing so created an intimate wedding that reflected their love and showcased details that are long to be admired. I could write for days about how great these two are but instead here's a short list of how Nicole and Time absolutely nailed the perfect wedding!

1. The Venue

Ah, yes, I remember it very well, the first time I met Nicole was at Wakulla Springs State Park in my very own neck of the woods. Because I go where the weddings lead me, not often do I get to create memories near where I call home. Wakulla Springs is a natural wonder and provides an unsurpassed setting that Nicole was semi-new to but I had spent countless days at this venue and knew immediately that she had picked the right place for her Hollywood Glam wedding. With the picturesque springs in the background, a foyer and lobby with ceilings to die for and a lodge onsite, Wakulla Springs offered the ambiance, the adventure and the propitiousness for a great wedding.

2. The Attire

Not everyday do you get a bride that wears a gold dress and clearly Nicole is not every other bride. The dress was so perfect and paired with Tim's tailored suit and gold tie, they celebrated their wedding day in pure style. So much so that Bride's Magazine even featured "The" dress.

3. The Decor

When you have a venue as stunning as theirs, you stick to the golden rule - less is definitely more. We created a ceremony with little obstruction to the view of the mysterious springs and flanked Nicole and Tim with pedestals full of local foliages, blue delphenium and tropical birds of paradise.

Inside, white linens, gold runners and long table garlands full of birds of paradise lined the tables. Not overly done and finished with adorable tupelo honey jars, a local favorite for the guests to take home.

4. The Cake

So sometimes things don't always work as planned and well, to be honest, sometimes there just isn't a plan and things work out perfectly! Thankfully, this cake was the latter. The guest count didn't require the need for a 5-tier cake so Nicole chose this adorable 3-tier from Walmart and said "do whatever". Going with the flow is quite possibly the most important tool when it comes to wedding day and until the cake was delivered, I had no clue what the cake was going to look like. Taking one glance around the room and a deep breath (because you only get one shot with cake flowers) this cake was transformed into an exotic masterpiece with a front cascade of birds of paradise. Thankfully, Nicole and Tim loved it and so far it has been featured on numerous blogs. One of my all-time favorites for sure.

5. The Guests

They traveled from near, far and farther and kept the party going through the night. You can never go wrong when you surround yourself with the ones you love.

6. The Vendors

From the flowers and rentals, to the music and food, Nicole and Tim continued to choose things they admired and chose a vendor lineup based on their own likes. That was the key to their perfect day. But none of these details could have been shared if it wasn't for the incredible photography of Artsinfotos Photography who so graciously shared with us.
